Not a big deal until it is
There are many points of failure on Ziplines, but there are only a few that represent the majority of mechanical failures that lead to accidents. Many of these mechanical issues can be avoided with proper installation, regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
At Xtreem Ziplines, our number one goal is to design and build safe products and safe Zipline attractions. Our background working in the Ski Lift Industry, along with years of helping large ride manufacturers design safe rides, has guided and helped us understand the necessary standards required to meet our goals.

Our team members have many certifications, including a TUV Rheinland Machine Safety Engineer. We understand national and international design and manufacturing standards. We follow the same process each time we develop new products or projects. Our national projects are designed and manufactured based on ASTM, ANSI, NFPA, NEC and OSHA standards. Our safety process includes the following steps:

Safety control panel
An FMEA analysis is performed at different stages of product and project development. We perform an analysis for each component of the product or project. Our goal is to eliminate as many failure modes as possible. If we cannot design out a failure mode, we add redundancy to eliminate a single point of failure.
A Risk Assessment is performed before and after product or project design. The Risk Assessment defines mitigation that may need to be applied to components that still have an intolerable risk level. If the risk is related to a component with an energy source, we define the required performance level for the safety function and we mitigate this risk with a safety function that meets this required performance level.
During the entire process of product design and manufacturing, we follow ASTM requirements for documentation.
Our national project controls are designed and manufactured to meet NFPA and NEC standards.
We perform factory acceptance testing in our facility for each project and provide the results to our clients.
We perform verification for all safety functions and provide these results to our clients.
We perform site acceptance testing at our client's site and provide the results to our clients.
We perform validation for all safety functions and provide the results to our clients.
At Xtreem, we design, build and maintain your Zipline like it is our own.
Our passioned safety professionals
We create and maintain a high level of interest and awareness of safety to our and your employees at all levels.
